Our Story

As with many great things, we also started small. Our founder, Annie van Iersel, encountered more and more people living in poverty. Poverty leaves big traces. People in the Netherlands who live in poverty often do not dare to do this to give. While in our country one in nine children lives in poverty. That is an average of three children per classroom.

Poverty, as well as other problems, are only getting worse at the moment.
We don't want to stand by and watch. That's why we as entrepreneurs started to set our network in motion a few years ago. After all, change starts with yourself.
And that has led to something beautiful. With the help of many, we have been giving families with children a moment of carefree and fun for a number of years.
With the help of many agencies and people inside and outside our personal network, we achieve great results, which make many people happy. And which motivates us enormously not only to continue, but also to grow.

About us

Our vision

As a foundation, we want all children to develop healthily, with opportunities and safely. We aspire to equal opportunities and combating poverty. 61% of families in poverty do not have a reading book at home.

Our goal is also to let as many children as possible experience the power and memory of a beautiful book.

In our opinion, a child who is read to is often more educated, better in grammar, spelling and reading comprehension. A child understands the world better by reading, becomes more social, it is good for the bond between parents and child when reading to them. It stimulates the imagination. Reading gives the opportunity to let the themes of the current world return in books in an understandable way, which enriches older children in the phase towards adulthood.

Our vision is to bring this to the attention and to bring about sustainable change. We believe in the power of collaboration. With a broader network, we can complement each other from different perspectives.

Our well-known statement is; sharing is the new having, is a beautiful challenge in today's society. Partly due to the great gift of a highly valued sponsor, we can also propagate our vision.
