Jeroen krijgt voor zijn verjaardag een tekenboek. Hij wil daarin graag gaan tekenen, maar weet niet zo goed hoe hij moet beginnen. De volgende dag gaat hij daarom op avontuur in zijn eigen omgeving om dieren te zoeken die hij kan natekenen. Als hij zijn eerste getekende dier, een koe, uitknipt, komt deze koe tot leven! Koe gaat met hem mee op avontuur. Er komen steeds meer getekende dieren bij. Samen trekken ze verder om te kijken hoe Jeroen zijn tekenboek steeds voller en voller tekent met dieren die ze onderweg tegenkomen. Maar het wordt wel chaotisch als alle getekende dieren, die steeds met Jeroen meelopen, zich een beetje te veel met zijn tekeningen gaan bemoeien. Daarom besluit Jeroen om alle dieren weer terug in zijn tekenboek te plakken in een mooi landschap dat hij heeft getekend op de laatste bladzijde van zijn tekenboek.
